COLLIER SHERIFF Deputies: Copeland woman spilled hot coffee on baby Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 23-year-old Copeland woman Thursday night after they say she failed to get medical treatment for her baby after she spilled coffee on the boy and the boy hit his head on a coffee table. Kathy Lynn Lamphere, 930 Seaboard Village Drive, Apt. E, was charged with neglect of a child without great bodily harm. In a year marked by rising unemployment, a struggling economy and two ongoing wars, some on the beach said this year was as important as any to celebrate Independence Day. More than 20,000 people gathered on the beach in Naples. In all, about 1,250 shells were fired into the night sky in about 30 minutes starting around 9 p.m. “America, I’m very proud of it,” Julie Chambers said. “I like to show off that I’m an American.”
