Elm St. project sidelined by cost
The city of Henderson is backing off from the idea of rebuilding North Elm Street between the Municipal Golf Course and Watson Lane.
The Henderson City Commission had earlier OK'd seeking a firm to do design and engineering services on the project, and city staff tentatively settled on American Structurepoint of Indianapolis, which proposed to do that work for $792,500.

Highland bridge to be one lane for a month

Ethics allegation heats city race
The Henderson City-County Ethics Commission is dealing with its first complaint since it was formed 14 years ago -- but the object of the complaint maintains it's politically motivated. Henderson City Commission candidate Robert Pruitt filed the complaint against Commissioner Jim White. In a nutshell, Pruitt claims White should not have voted to approve the last two budgets of the Henderson Water Utility because White's employer -- Sherman Dixie Concrete Industries of Evansville -- sells concrete pipe to HWU.
