Fatal accidents involving drinking, speeding according to road type

Here are the percentages of fatal accidents, by type of road, that involved risk factors like drinking and speeding based on a study of 562,712 fatal accidents in the United States from 1994 to 2008.

Road Type .... Drinking ... Speeding

Interstate ....... 24.5 ....... 30.9

U.S. Highways .... 25.7 ....... 22.0

State Highways ... 30.8 ....... 27.0

Municipal Roads .. 28.9 ....... 29.3

County Roads ..... 39.5 ....... 36.9

Township Roads ... 35.5 ....... 38.7

Total ............ 31.0 ....... 29.9

Riskiest action of daily life

If you look at the numbers, over 80,000 people die each year from preventable medical mistakes. Wouldn't that make seeing your doctor the riskiest action?
