The 28th edition of JOGO Canadian Football League cards are out. Once again the print run was limited.

For the 18th straight year, McDonald’s restaurants throughout Canada will be featuring hockey cards. There’s a 50-card Upper Deck Ice Heroes base set, a 50-card gold parallel set numbered to 100 along with 54 inserts. In addition, there are 4,000 “Instant Winner” cards offering autograph cards, jersey cards, jersey patch cards or complete sets of 2008 Upper Deck Ice Heroes.

Once again Upper Deck will be offering its “Priority Signings” wrapper-redemption program at Toronto’s NHL Fall Expo Nov. 14-16 at the Toronto International Centre. Collectors opening a box of 2008-09 NHL Upper Deck Series One or 2008-09 NHL Artifacts at the UD booth will receive a random “Priority Signings” autographed card.

Upper Deck, 10 Gannett Wisconsin Media Newspapers along with retailers in each newspapers’ area are teaming up on the release of a 24-card Green Bay Packers set. Each card has a metal mini helmet on it.

A number of products under the Kellogg’s corporate umbrella are featuring a chance to win an Upper Deck card autographed by Jerry Rice, Jerome Bettis or Joe Theismann.

It’s the 100th anniversary for “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” Jack Norworth wrote the song and reportedly more than 2,500 songs in a long career, including "Shine On, Harvest Moon.” Obviously none were as famous or popular as his baseball ditty.
